What can I expect?
Bernard Arnault, who is the chairman and CEO of LVMH - also known under the name Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton - wanted to create an extraordinary space for art and culture, that also would represent Paris. Therefore, the architect Frank Gehry was hired to design and create the Fondation Louis Vuitton. According to Gehry he and Arnault wanted to ‘create a building that would evolve according to the time and the light in order to give the impression of something ephemeral and continually changing.’
The building is indeed a work of art. Parts of it is inspired by billowing sails and the architecture is of a completely unique design. When you enter this building, get ready to get completely lost in the incredible art collection, which is bathed in natural light from the many, big windows. Inside you find 11 galleries, which are spread over 4000 square meters.
This skip-the-line ticket lets you explore this masterpiece of modern architectural design at your own pace. Inside you find the permanent exhibition called "Architectural Journey", which shows the development of the museum from beginning, when it was just in idea, to finish. The exhibition includes original designs and blueprints. And of course, you get to see Frank Gehry's amazing work all around you. The Fondation Louis Vuitton is truly a modern masterpiece!
